Keeping this vision in mind, Thakur Har Narayan Singh Degree College was established in 2007 in Prayagraj with the aim of providing higher education opportunities to students belonging to backward and economically weaker sections of society.

The institution was founded to make quality higher education accessible in areas where such facilities were previously limited. Quality and accessible higher education is the right of every citizen. The college is committed to promoting knowledge, positive thinking, and the holistic development of students, thereby contributing to the progress of society.

The institution is equipped with a spacious campus, well-equipped laboratories, a rich library, green surroundings, and a safe and disciplined environment, which together create an ideal atmosphere for academic growth.

Within a short period of time, the college has earned a distinct identity in the district as well as the state through its dedication to academic excellence and social responsibility. The expertise of the faculty members, the dedication of the staff, and the progressive vision of the management committee have significantly contributed to the upliftment and development of students.

Currently, the college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs including B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Ed., D.El.Ed., D.Pharm., Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.Sc.), M.B.A., M.C.A., B.A. LL.B. and LL.B.

From the coming academic session new professional programs such as Skill Development Courses, B.Pharma, B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Nursing, G.N.M., and an Ayurvedic College are proposed to be introduced, subject to completion of the required formalities and approvals.

The college also provides essential facilities such as scholarships, sports activities, proper sanitation, and clean drinking water to ensure a healthy and supportive environment for students.
